My First Haircut

We broke down and finally decided that it was time to get rid of the mullet Ellie had been growing. Her daddy thought that Grandma would definitely turn her into a Nascar fan if we let it get any longer.

Ellie waiting to get her hair done. She doesn't know what to think!
She gets a pretty penguin smock to wear!
Ellie was actually really good. She hardly ever flinched when she was cutting her hair.Ellie looks like she is going to cry in this picture, but she never did.Ellie with her new pretty haircut!I'll post more pictures in a week or so. We are going to Disney to see Mickey Mouse and Auntie Erin. We can't wait!

Ellie full of Smiles

Ellie has been forming her own personality lately. She loves to smile, play and just like her mom, dance. She also just started to love to read. She brings us books to read and she will also sit by herself and read. She gets that from her father. Below are some recent pictures.

Ellie's new alien hairdo
Ellie lays in the weirdest positions
She knows what a camera means now. She always shows her cheesy smile. Ellie loves riding on her princess car Ellie loves reading by herself on the fireplace. Ironic the magazine she chose?

The fireplace has also become her stage

The first snow of the year. Her and daddy having some fun.

She really doesn't like the snow. The first time we set her down, she took a face first dive. Maybe next time will be better.

Here is a video of the next American Idol. She already has a singer attitude!

1st Birthday and Christmas

Sorry for the lack of posts. The holidays were super busy. Not only did we have Christmas, but we also had Ellie's 1st birthday party. Life doesn't get more complicated than that!
Below are pictures of Ellie with her toys on Christmas morning She absolutely loves her kitchen!
Eggs anyone?

Here are pictures of Ellie's birthday party. We had to put the cake on her face because she didn't want to eat it!
Does someone want a big knife?

Thanksgiving

Ellie's first Thanksgiviving was fun. She ate all the great food of the holiday, but didn't like much of it. However, she loved the crescent rolls. She is taking after her Auntie! I've included pictures and some videos.

Picture of all the new additions to Thanksgiving this year! Ellie's new friends

Halloween

Ellie's first Halloween was fun. She dressed up as a pirate along with Chloe. Mom and Dad picked up some candy, but the little trick-or-treater only made it a half hour before she fell asleep in the stroller. Hopefully next year she'll make it a little longer. Below are the pics of the evening. I've also included pictures of us getting ready for the Bengals game. (Thanks Aunt Erin)

On the move

Ellie has been on the move so much lately. She is crawling so fast, it is so hard to keep up with her. She is also pulling herself up on everything and almost standing on her own. I keep waiting for her to just take off any minute now. So scary! It's hard to believe she's already 10 and a half months old.
Here are som pics from our trip to Gatlinburg We were minature golfing and Ellie absolutely loved it.

Here's some of Ellie's new crazy sleeping positions. She prefers her belly now and usually likes to be tucked tight into the side of the crib.
Here hair is so much longer and we just love styling it in the tub.
I'm getting in to things I'm not supposed to.
Here is a funny video of her dancing.

She's also taught the dog a new trick.

Disney trip '09

We went to Disney the middle of September and now finally have the pictures. We spent 4 days in Disney, swimming, going to the park and dressing up for the Halloween party. Ellie finally met Mickey Mouse. She was so excited to see him, but he made her cry when he kissed her with his big head. Below are the pictures.
Ellie's first plane ride
She didn't mind being in her stroller! Good for us!
All the swimming made her tiredThe whole family dressed up. The boys (Brian and Zak) decided they were too cool to join in. Ellie was dancing with Stitch. How cute!

Meeting Mickey Mouse for the first time Spending time with Aunt Erin and Uncle Zak
Ellie was obsessed with Mr. Potato head as we waited in line for a ride. I mean look at that face as he was talking! And for those of you who can't believe (including me) Yes that is Zak holding and playing with Ellie! He finally gave in and got over the drool

After Disney we drove down to Zak and Erin's in Ft. Lauderdale. We went fishing in the ocean while we were there. It rained for part of the morning and then was sunny the rest of the time. But of course we came up short after 4 hours As we were headed out to the ocean we saw our next house that is for sale. It is only priced at $48 mil! Our only catch of the day 1 king mackarel. Oh well, we still had fun.
