6 months!

Can you believe it! Ellie is 6 months old. My how time flies. We went to our appointment today and the doctor was really happy with her progress. They told us to lower her bed now because they think she will be pulling herself up not too long from now. They were also very pleased that she is sitting up by herself already and that her legs are so strong. Let's hope she doesn't skip the crawling phase! She now weighs 16 lbs and 4 oz and is 26 inches tall. That means she is in the 54th precentile in weight and 56% percentile in height. She jumped back up to normalcy in height. Thank goodness! There is still a chance she won't be too short. She also had her next set of shots. She cried a little bit more than last time, but seems to be fine now. She is very sleepy though.

She is starting to teethe and she's been drooling a lot! The doctor said it looks like her 2 top and 2 bottom teeth are all trying to come in at the same time. Poor thing! I hope that isn't the case. Although maybe she will be in less pain later if they all come in together.

Not much else to report. Here are a few more pictures for your enjoyment and a video of Ellie looking at herself in the mirror. Daddy had the camera and forgot he was recording.

Vacation

Last week was Ellie's first vacation and it was to Gulf Shores, AL. It was a 13 hour car ride and she only flipped out the last hour there and home. All in all I have to say she travels really well. Ellie wasn't sure what to think of the ocean. It was pretty cold the first few days and she didn't have a happy face. As you can see below.
However, Ellie really liked the pool. Here are some pictures of her in her float.
As the week went on she started enjoying the ocean a little more. It was really hot and the ocean was more refreshing, I'm sure that's why she liked it better. Here is another picture of her later in the week in the ocean.

Ellie really liked sitting on the beach and playing. She also started sitting up by herself this week too. Below are some pictures of her playing on the beach and when she was exhausted she also napped on the beach.

Here are videos of Ellie playing with her pail of water.

Doctor update and My new cousin

Well Ellie went back to the pulmonary specialist this week. It was not one of the best experiences I have had with him. First of all, he was 20 minutes late to the appointment! Then he looked at her and said how wonderful she looked and that she doesn't look to have any signs of a lung disease, but he wanted to check her x-ray. He came back in to the room and said that there was still a lot showing up on the x-ray and it just wasn't consistent with how she looked. So to be sure he was going to order a CAT scan and put her under. Then he left the room. 15 minutes later he came back in to the room and said he was looking at the wrong x-ray! He almost ordered a test that was not needed! He was looking at her March x-rays. This weeks looked a lot cleaner only one little spot left. He wants us back in 3 months and we will do one last x-ray and he said we wouldn't have to see him ever again. I say good riddance!

Anyway, here are some pictures.

Ellie is watching mommy eating her ice cream. She's going to have my sweet tooth!
