New friends

Ellie has found 4 new friends. Fisher (cat), Pallas (cat), Chloe (dog) and Rachael (dog). She is always watching them and talking to them. When they walk by her she also pets them or I should say grabs them. They all are very good with her and don't seem to mind that she is very rough with them. Below are a few pictures of her and her friends.

I just wanted to throw in this picture. It was so cute of her staring at her fish on the swing. But man, what do you think she's got in those cheeks!

My first swim and voice

This past weekend we went to Cleveland and Ellie was very good. She only cried for about 30 minutes total on the way up and not at all on the way home. At our hotel, she got to swim for the first time. She didn't like it at first, but the next day she seemed to enjoy it. Here are pictures of her in her cute little surfer bathing suit!

Below is a video of Ellie's new found voice. Where do you think she got her talkative side from?

Nothing much else to report. Ellie has been on her veggies for about 2 weeks now and it seems that she likes them all (which is only 5). I'm going to try fruit next week and I'm pretty sure those are going to be her favorite.

My first taste of food. Yuck!

We started feeding Ellie 'real' food this week. This picture is her very first taste. She doesn't quite know what to think.
I'd say by the video that she doesn't like green beans, but I'm not going to give up hope.

I finally rolled over!!

Just after her 4 month appointment yesterday, Ellie rolled over. The doctor asked if she was rolling over yet and I said no. I guess she wanted to prove me wrong. At her appointment we found out she is now 13.8 lbs and 24 inches long. After reviewing her progress over the last months her height was in the 65th percentile and this month it dropped to the 39th percentile. I guess that means she's going to have her mommy's genes of being vertically challenged. Oh, well at least she is healthy. The shots didn't even bother her that much either. The doctor also said that he thinks her chest problem has probably cleared up! He says when we go in June we should have a clear x-ray. Thank heavens!
Below is a video of Ellie rolling over for the 3rd time. She couldn't decide which way to turn, but it's good to know she is an 'ambiturner' (courtesy of the movie Zoolander for those of you who don't know) She's going to become a seasoned pro before we know it!

Where has the time gone?!

Ellie will be four months old this week. Can you believe it? We certaintly can't. She is making little accomplishments everyday. Below is a video of her finally holding herself up, but she has no idea what to do next.

We also started Ellie on rice cereal this week. Below are a few pictures of her first taste. She is actually starting to like it now.

Ellie is also getting much better at sitting up. She's only a couple steps away from holding herself up!
Here are some pictures of Easter and her pretty Easter dress.I don't think she knows what to think of the Easter Bunny.

Changing before our Eyes

Ellie is 3 1/2 months old and is changing everyday. She loves to hear herself talk and is getting much better at grabbing things especially hair and jewelry. I've tried to get a video of her talking, but everytime I do she stops and is more interested in the camera.
It's been a whole month and she's been sleeping about 11 hours a night. We actually have to wake her up on the days we work because she is out cold.
Here are some updated pictures.

Making progress

Ellie's been learning a lot lately. She's figured out that her hands double as a pacifier. She's also figured out that she can blow bubbles with her mouth, which consequently makes her drool a lot! She finds her feet very interesting and she is even trying to hold herself up. She also likes to move a lot at night. In the morning we usually find her in her crib completely turned around.

Below is a video of her trying to pick herself up with her arms. The camera's a little shaky because I couldn't help but laugh at the hilarious sounds she was making. Think someone is a little frustrated?

Here's Daddy having fun with the camera.

Here's another video of Ellie doing her signature move. I think she has her Daddy's tongue. (I swear my kids face does not look that big! The camera adds like 10 pounds)
